The Physics of Power
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) sizing is critical for data center reliability. The runtime depends on the total chemical energy stored in the batteries versus the rate of consumption (Watts).
The Calculation: `Runtime (h) = (Ah * V * Efficiency) / Load (W)`. Standard Lead-Acid batteries should not be discharged below 50% for longevity, though this calculator assumes a full discharge model for maximum capacity estimation.
Efficiency Loss: Power conversion from DC (Battery) to AC (Outlets) incurs roughly a 10-20% loss due to heat generated by the inverter's transformers and switching circuitry.
